  Few Jehovah's Witnesses bother to GRASP THEIR OWN THEOLOGY!!!

  keep this one fact in mind about jehovah's witnesses.

  they exist in three parts throughout their history.. 1. honest bible students attracted to the gimmicks of russell (charts, graphs, chronologies, pyramid inches, etc.

  ) expected the end of the world to come and they wanted to know more.. 2.contrarian hard heads under rutherford wanted to prove everybody was wrong about everything except themselves.

  Hi Terry,

  Man you are on a role!!!!!!!!! I enjoyed your post. I recently told my wife that I think that

  Jesus did die on a cross. She said that is impossible because the cross was a pagan symbol.

  I told her that she is correct and were the Roman soldiers pagan? She did not know what

  to say. Pagans used crosses and the Romans were pagans. It is so simple but the average,

  JW will argue untill he is blue in the face that Jesus died on a stake because their Bible says so.

  Lance,

  I really enjoyed your interview. I wish that more Witnesses would wake up and smell the

  roses rather than focusing on how close the end is. Any person who uses his power of

  reason would be able to see thru it. Many see thru it but are stuck.

  you have to understand three things to comprehend the significance of 1975.. 1975 was the end of the watchtower society as we who lived in the 50's and 60's once knew it.

  it would forever change because it was exposed for all the world to see as a group of liars and deceived dupes.. it all began with a baptist farmer named william miller who sat down with only his bible and a concordance and a crackpot idea that a .

  a "day for a year" and the gentile times meant something profound which would effect his own day and time.

  What a great post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. At our circuit assemblies we actually had a large poster with the

  amount of months remaining until October of 1975. The mantra was "stay alive until 75."

  They were exciting times indeed. Our congregation was on fire with growth. Standing room

  only in the back. How sad as I look back that I took the bait. And you are right that no one

  talks about 75 now.

  for what it's worth, here are my memories and how it was explained to me.. late in 1968 my parents decided to have me because, like many other jws, they thought that i would never have to deal with the world or go to school.

  they carefully planned to have me during the year of 1970 because they didn't want to go through armagedon with an infant, so they figured if i was 5 years old, i would be old enough to run, feed myself, and at least know enough to take shelter from the elements or hide.

  I was an elder in 1975 and bought into the whole thing. We had debates amoung our body

  of elders if the end would truly take place in the fall of 1975. The majority of us believed the

  Witchtowe Babble and Trick Society. At our circuit assemblies we had a count down

  display that showed the amount of months until October of 1975. The big catch phrase

  was "stay alive until 75." In our Hall we had standing room only. There we new ones

  every week coming in. I heard the senior Franz give a talk where he actually said that if

  Eve was created 3 to 6 months after Adam then the Great Tribulation may be delayed until

  the beggining of 1976. I told my Bible students that if they did not become JW's that they

  would not be alive in 1976. While 1975 came and went, there was a tremendous falling

  away in my Hall and of course the WTBTS never said that the end of coming in 1975.

  1. there will always be people who can not think for themselves.. 2. there will always be people who need to be told how to dress, what to do on vacation, what.

  to do on the weekends, how much education you should have, and what married couples can do in bed.. 3. there will always be people who are willing to put thier lives on hold as they wait for better times.. 4. there will always be people who, because they can not make a decision, enjoy being told what.

  being an elder, even though they have no skills or training in dealing with sensitive family or

  personal issues.

  9. There will always be people who enjoy the martyrdom of feeling the "persecution" or the

  feeling of being looked down on because of thier beliefs.

  10. There will always be people who can not admit that they were wrong.

  The problem that the Witchtower Babble and Trick Society has is that the above descriptions

  suit about 50% of their current membership. The other 50% just don't know better and all they

  need is a little information to get them thinking about their belief system. That is the bogyman

  in the closet that the WTBTS is trying to not let out.

  Wow, great post. Well thought out. If I were still an active JW I would want to learn more.

  This is the reason the Witchtower Babble and Trick Society will continue to to demonize the

  Internet. They are being trained to treat "apostate" web sites the same as pornographic web

  sites. If one pops up then immediatley look away close your computor and run for the hills.

  At our recent butt numbing, mind dulling, sleep inducing district assembly on Saturday morning there

  was a talk where the speaker said that we are going to make a list that shows the contrast between

  Jehovah's organization and Satan's organization. The first on the list was God's organization gives us

  a thorough understanding of the Bible and Satan offers higher education. I almost fell out of my chair,

  the Watchtower is demonizing college!!!

  There are several reasons. Currently they are loosing the youth by the thousands. The chances of

  stopping being a JW increases with a college education. The WTBTS doesn't want its members to

  have the abilty to think. They need to stop the bleeding of loosing the youth. Without a good paying

  job the youth will be dependent on mommies and daddies purse strings which makes it much more

  difficult to cut the emotional ties of fading from the cult. I know of several families where the children

  are in their 20's and not on their own. They just can not afford to leave home.

  The Watchtower knows that they are having difficulty recruiting new members from the outside

  so they need to have growth from the inside by making JW babies. ( A friend of mine told me about

  two congregations in Ohio are are disbanding because of no growth and the inablity to cover the bills)

  I have known hundreds of JW families with and without a college education. Those that are educated tend

  to have fewer children than those who have lower paying jobs. I have also noticed that those who had a good

  education and jobs with responsibilty were also the best elders as far as leadership and speaking

  ability. The recent decline in the quality and teaching ability of the elders is directly related to this.

  The WTBTS is going to be making a lot of stupid rules in the future which hopefully will open the

  eyes of thousands of potential JWD recruits.

  and he told me that is not true.
